We had the immense pleasure of visiting three primary schools during World Book Week where we were able to share with approx. 800 children in assemblies, classroom visits and books fairs. We had fun answering the children’s questions and reading ‘Everyone Can Shine’ to the children.
Hannah loved visiting her old Primary School as she felt so at ‘home’ and it was so much fun sharing with the teachers she knew when she was a pupil there. She even got to sign some bookmarks, like a true celeb for some of the pupils who were there with Hannah when she attended.
After receiving a grant from the local council, we were able to gift 600 books to all the children in years Reception to Year 3. Just to see the faces of the children made all the hard work worth it.
We also had the privilege of running our first book stall in another school book fair where Hannah signed copies of the book for the children and we were able to chat and share with the parents.
And to finish the week we partnered with The Yellow, a local community centre and together visited a third primary school, where all the children in year 2 were gifted with a personal copy of Hannah’s book.
All the children loved the story and really engaged with Autumn and Sprocket.
